TALENTS\u00b3 FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME OPEN CALL: 7 NEW GRANTS TO BE ASSIGNED!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

AREA Science Park, with the financial contribution of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region through the European Social Fund, has developed TALENTS\u00b3 Fellowship Programme within the long-term “TALENTS Strategy” for the internationalisation of the Friuli Venezia Giulia scientific system, pursued by AREA Science Park within the CER \u2013 Coordination Network of Research institutions of Friuli Venezia Giulia.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2nd phase of TALENTS\u00b3 Fellowship Programme offers:<\/span><\/p>\n

Activity 1: 3 outgoing research grants<\/em> <\/strong>to carry out projects at a foreign scientific institution or enterprise developing R&D activities, located in the territory of the EUSAIR (Slovenia*, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece) or the future EUSALP (Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein) macro-regional strategies, with mandatory return to Friuli Venezia Giulia region; the activity is addressed to researchers resident in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.<\/span><\/p>\n

Activity 2: 4 incoming research grants<\/strong><\/em> to carry out projects at one of the scientific institutions belonging to the CER \u2013 Coordination Network of Research institutions of Friuli Venezia Giulia or at one of the enterprises established in the regional territory and implementing R&D activities. The activity is addressed to researchers resident in the territories part of the EUSAIR (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece) and of the future EUSALP (Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein) macro-regional strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n

*For the outgoing mobility scheme Slovenia is considered belonging to EUSAIR macroregion only.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Deadline for application is on the 21\/09\/2016 h 3.00 p.m. (Italian local time)!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Research projects will have to be developed as follows: start on April the 1st, 2017; end on September the 30th, 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

Candidates are free to choose a research topic<\/strong> within one of the following scientific areas:<\/span><\/p>\n

1.Biotechnologies and Diagnostics<\/span>
2. Material technologies, Mechanics, Physics and Chemistry<\/span>
3. Ecology, Environment and Energy<\/span>
4. Information Technology<\/span>
5. Economic, Human and Social Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, research projects must be coherent with the following technological areas of the Smart Specialisation Strategy of Friuli Venezia Giulia:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Agri-food<\/span>
2. Strategic production chains: industry engineering, home systems<\/span>
3. Maritime technologies<\/span>
4. Smart Health<\/span>
5. Culture, creativity and tourism.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beneficiaries<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Beneficiaries of Activity 1 and Activity 2 shall be expert researchers, in possession of a PhD or at least of 3 years of full-time research activities after graduation (Master degree).<\/span><\/p>\n

The selection procedure<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The eligible proposals will be evaluated by a Scientific Selection Committee (SSC), that will include independent and expert professionals appointed by AREA Science Park, in possession of a high expertise in the scientific areas foreseen by the Project.<\/span>
TALENTS\u00b3 selection procedure will follow the main principles<\/strong> adopted by the European Commission in the evaluation of the Marie Curie proposals and in line with the<\/span> “European Charter for Researchers” and the “Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers”<\/a>. The evaluation criteria and the full procedure are described in details in the Call for Proposals.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
