The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) would like to inform you that the deadline of accepting applications for its 12th<\/sup> Edition of the IDB Prize for Women\u2019s Contribution to Development is EXTENDED till the 31st of Dec. 2016<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The IDB, a multilateral development institution fostering economic development and social progress in 57 countries across the world, annually awards this Prize to recognize and reward women’s contribution to the socioeconomic development process.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prize consists of a cash award of US$ 50,000<\/span><\/strong> for an individual woman and a cash award of US$ 100,000<\/span><\/strong> for a non-governmental organization.<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to highlight various issues shaping our world and their specific effects on women, the theme of the Prize varies each year. This years\u2019 Prize is devoted to \u201cWomen\u2019s Contribution to the Prevention and Control of Cancer\u201d<\/em><\/strong> and the categorical topics are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n
